In the Figure series I paint technobabble figures. I use the term referring not to the human figure, but rather scientifically like a reference to an appending diagram. I am meditating on technology’s prevalence in contemporary culture while abstracting our means to communicate it. Technobabble ends up resembling schematic diagrams, maps, formulas, chemistry, architectural sketches; whatever resonates with your background. For me, I simply play around with technobabble much as I did studying architecture, mathematics, or flying helicopters.
