Technobabble is an abstract language I invented which represents technology; specifically the diagrams we use to convey technology. It is a meditation of line, pattern, and basic geometry. My painting is inspired by graffiti, pop art, abstract expressionism and technology’s ever-increasing influence on contemporary culture. Technobabble resembles circuitry, urban systems, maps, or formulas. It emerged from my own background and experience. Before becoming a professional artist, I studied mathematics, flew helicopters in the U.S. Air Force, and studied architecture at Columbia University.

Private studio visits are the best way to get to know me and my art. My studio is located in the West Chelsea Arts Building in New York City. To set an appointment or ask a question, send me a message here or email paul@paulmichaelgraves.com
